Metro bus slams into parked motorhome with man inside

An investigation is underway Friday to determine what caused a Metro bus to crash into a parked motorhome in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The incident was reported around 2 a.m. near the intersection of West 90th Street and Normandie Avenue.A man who was sleeping inside the motorhome said he was awakened by the sounds of the crash. Video from the scene showed major damage to both vehicles. The man said that items inside the motorhome fell on top of him as the vehicle was pushed forward, also striking his SUV. The man did not appear to be seriously hurt. There was no word on the condition of the bus driver. His actions were abhorrent.”Gow was being placed on administrative leave as he “transitions into a faculty role,” Rothman said in a statement posted on UW’s website. (KRON) – The National Weather Service forecasts a 100 percent chance of rain with gusts as high as 30 mph expected. Daytime highs will be in the 60s throughout the Bay Area. (BCN) -- Richmond police this week arrested a man who allegedly fled from officers while carrying a loaded gun. Officers pulled a vehicle over for alleged code violations around 9 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of 23rd Street. Santa Cruz driver identified in fatal wreck on Highway 1 last week Police said the driver exited the vehicle and refused to follow officers' directions. The driver then attempted to flee on foot, but police took him into custody after a short pursuit. Officers allegedly found the driver to have a loaded "ghost gun" and additional magazines. While searching his vehicle, police found another firearm, more high-capacity pistol magazines, and marijuana. Police transported the suspect to Richmond police headquarters, where he was booked on suspicion of weapons violations. (KRON) -- A man who died in a traffic collision on state Highway 1 in Santa Cruz last week has been identified by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office as Cesar Ramirez Garcia, a 27-year-old resident of Santa Cruz. It may soon be against the law to carry a concealed handgun into a restaurant, bar or club in Virginia.Currently, a person with a concealed handgun permit is allowed to be in a business where alcohol is served, as long as the gun-owner isn’t under the influence of alcohol or drugs.However, a bill introduced this week in Richmond by State Sen. DENVER (KDVR) — A 19-year-old Denver man has been arrested after allegedly firing several shots and striking homes and vehicles in Edgewater.On Thursday at 5:05 p.m., the Edgewater Police Department received calls about shots fired in the 2400 block of Kendall Street. Officers learned that several homes and parked cars were hit by gunfire.Witnesses told police that a man was seen fleeing the neighborhood on foot.Edgewater police said a short time later, officers received calls from the 1800 block of Fenton Street that additional shots had been heard and a man was attempting to steal a vehicle.
